Product Review: Metro Air Force Quick Draw Pet Dryer
I received the Metro Air Force Quick Draw Pet Dryer in the mail today from GW Little. I have been very excited to get it to try out on Chico. Chico takes up to an hour and a half to blow dry his hair with a human hair dryer. Also I have to switch modes between hot and cold because the temperature is never right for him. As I did some research on pet dryers, I learned that dogs skin is thinner than a humans and the heat of a regular hair dryer can really damage their skin and can be really uncomfortable for them. So that's when I was sold on spending the money on a great quality pet dryer.
I found the Metro Air Force Quick Draw Pet Dryer on GWLittle.com and knew that it was the perfect pet dryer for me because GW Little always makes sure to pick high quality products for little dogs. I ordered it off their website and was really happy when I got shipment tracking information the same day.
I gave Chico a bath in the tub with our favorite dog shampoo, Happy Tails Bubbles 'n Beads. He was smelling nice and fresh after his bath and it was time to try out the pet dryer!! I was nervous of his reaction to the dryer because it is louder than the regular hair dryer. I put Chico across the bathroom while I turned on the pet dryer. He didn't seem scared so I went and grabbed him and put him next to the pet dryer. He adapted to the noise very quickly. Other dogs may be a little more timid than Chico, so make sure to ease your dog into it, don't force it upon your dog because you will scare it. Some dogs may need to take baby steps over a few bathing periods.
I put Chico in his normal blow drying spot in the sink and started to dry him. The temperature of the dryer was perfect. It was great because I could bring the nozzle close to his skin without worrying about burning him. After 17 minutes of drying, Chico's whole body except the hair around his ears were dry. His ears weren't dry because the force of the wind from the dryer bothered his ears, which I completely understand because I would be the same way. I am absolutely amazed!
I am very very happy with the Metro Air Force Quick Draw Pet Dryer and I highly recommend it to people who have dogs who take FOREVER to dry. Although it may seem expensive at $99, it is well worth the money. You are saving money on taking your dog to the groomers, $99 could be the price of two trips to the groomers! You are also saving yourself a lot of time!! The box for the Metro Air Force Quick Draw Pet Dryer says that it saves 70% of time on drying your dog. And it is soooo true!! The only caution I have for owners is that it is louder than a regular hair dryer so make sure to ease your dog into using it if they are usually timid by louder sounds. Once your dog is used to the noise you will be so happy with the results. Chico is now prancing around the house a happy dry boy instead of shivering and moist under a blanket on the couch.
